Background:
St George's is primary school with a nursery in Telford and Wrekin. It was formed by the amalgamation of infant and junior schools in 1982. The school buildings consist of 16 classrooms, a nursery classroom, ICT suite, two general-purpose rooms, a music room, a library, hall, administration area and kitchen. There is also extensive grounds have infant and junior playgrounds, quiet areas, large playing fields and nature area with a pond. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These activities include swimming, rugby, athletics, cross-country, football, netball and rounders. The school aims to provide high quality education in a safe, caring and stimulating, learning environment where children will flourish and everyone will feel valued and respected.
