Background:
St Mary's CofE Primary School was founded in 1865 and comprises the original Victorian building plus an additional room and Key Stage 1 area. The school grounds have two small area of woodland which are used as play or work areas. There is also an adventure playground adjacent to the playground and a fenced-off area for the foundation stage children. Play-group uses the hall for three morning sessions each week.The school takes part in sporting activities and swims at the local pool once a week for two terms each year.
