Background:

Situated on the outskirts of Shrewsbury since 1952, the large school boasts excellent grounds as well as access to a superb stretch of public land known as the Mere. A broad and balanced curriculum is offered and there is ability setting for English and mathematics. Good academic attainment is carefully balanced with many and varied achievements in other areas. There is a wide variety of after-school clubs, including French, and older children attend an educational residential visit each year. The school is proud of its sporting and musical successes, especially in local competitions. Staff strive to involve parents and the community in school life, and a strong parent-teacher association works tirelessly to benefit the school. A kids clubs offers after-school care to all pupils and the school savings bank encourages pupils to save money. The school regards the education of its pupils as a wonderful team effort. The school aims to provide a happy, working environment that is built upon strong moral foundations and embraces Christian principles.
