Background:
Clive Church of England School is situated on Grinshill Hill. Built of local sandstone in 1873, the stone building is enclosed by a high sandstone wall. Within the walls at the front of the school there is a hard play area and an open area including shrubs, bushes and a rockery. The school has strong and well-established links with the church through weekly visits from the vicar, as well as special events in the Christian calendar. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These include cross-country, athletics club, football club, art club, cookery club and French club. The school aims to create a happy, calm, secure and stimulating environment within which pupils are encouraged to develop and attain their full potential.
